Your first visit to our office is the most important one. It gives each of us an opportunity to get to know one another. We want you to be comfortable with who you choose as your dentist... This visit is designed to determine if we are compatible, because we look forward to establishing a long lasting relationship with you.

What to expect?
If there is an emergency or specific urgent concern, we will attend to that situation first and make you comfortable. Otherwise, your first visit typically involves a comprehensive exam and diagnosis. We review your medical and dental history and then take a tour of your mouth using an intra-oral video; you will be able to see your teeth from a whole new perspective on a television monitor. Necessary x-rays are taken. The gums and soft tissue are also examined for oral cancer and gingivitis.

When can I get a cleaning?
Typically a "cleaning" is not done during the first visit since we cannot anticipate what type of cleaning a patient needs or how much time might be required without an examination. After the first visit, your cleanings and checkups can be performed during the same appointment.

When will I learn my treatment options?
Your treatment options are discussed during this first visit with Dr. Karimi, and a written treatment plan is presented.
